Our Band’s Missing a Big Brass Hug—Send a Sousaphone!

My Project

Our brand-new middle school marching band is off to a great start—but we’re missing the heart and soul of the brass section: a sousaphone! This larger-than-life instrument wraps students in a literal and musical hug, bringing depth, power, and pride to our sound. Right now, our low brass section is incomplete, and we need your help to give our band the full, rich tone that only a sousaphone can provide.

Marching bands build school spirit, confidence, and community.

For many of our students, this is their first opportunity to be part of something bigger than themselves. A sousaphone will not only complete our ensemble but also allow a dedicated student to take on a leadership role and feel the excitement of carrying the beat for the entire group.

By donating to our project, you're helping us build a program that fosters discipline, collaboration, and joy. With your support, we can give our students the musical experience they deserve—bold, booming, and unforgettable.

This project will directly benefit students who are eager to participate in a full, dynamic marching band experience. Many of our students come from families that cannot afford to rent or purchase large instruments. By providing a school-owned sousaphone, we are removing financial barriers and ensuring that every child, regardless of background, has the opportunity to shine. Playing a foundational instrument like the sousaphone also cultivates responsibility and pride—students know the entire band relies on their sound to stay grounded and strong. With this new instrument, we’ll empower student musicians to grow not only in skill, but in confidence and leadership.
