Our Band Needs a Few Supplies

My students need new ligatures for their clarinets and saxophones, a siren whistle, a train whistle, a gong and mallet and a vibra-slap.

I teach middle school band to wonderful students who live in a high need community. Many of my students need to borrow school owned instruments due to their financial hardships.

My middle school band classes are a joy to teach. My students are very enthusiastic and love to play their instruments. They do a great job, but we need a little help. The ligatures my woodwind students are using are falling apart and don't always hold their reeds on their instruments. In order for them to produce the best sound possible, they need a ligature that works. My percussion section is missing a few instruments that are needed in a few of our concert pieces. We need a vibraslap, gong, and whistles. These supplies are needed, but there is no budget for my program. My district is in the midst of a financial crisis.

My students need new ligatures for their woodwind instruments. Many of the ligatures that the school owns are at least 20 years old and are falling apart. Our band also needs a few percussion instruments to play in our spring concert. The ligatures will give my students the opportunity to produce a high quality sound. The ligatures will hold the reed in its proper place to produce the correct sound. The percussion instruments will make our percussion section complete. These instruments are needed to perform some of our spring concert music. These instruments will complete the sound the composer intended. My students will benefit from these supplies because it will make our band sound better.
