My students need a place to put their backpacks and jackets. I am sure that having a mobile Backpack Storage Cart will help keep the classroom floor from being cluttered.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a teacher in a low economic area of our school district. Most of my students are part of the free or reduced lunch program. I am asking for donations to help build up the morale of our classroom.
We have been displaced from Hurricane Harvey and moved into another building that is more equipped for high school students.
Since we all spend 80% of our day at school, I would love to make this classroom more comfortable for all of us.
My Project
My students need a place to store their backpacks. Unfortunately, after being displaced from Hurricane Harvey, my students have no place to store their backpacks. The school we are currently housed at high school and the lockers not accessible to my students.
The Backpack Storage Cart will help with the order of our classroom.
Currently, backpacks are being hung on the backs of their chairs. Well, this is not an ideal placement for them because they fall off and become a hazard on the floor. With the backpack storage cart, we will be able to exit our classroom with ease in case of an emergency.
The Teach and Store cart will be used in our whole group lessons. We currently do not have a place to hang chart paper in our whole group circle. With this cart, we will be able to build anchor charts and add on to them during our lesson. The timers will be used to help students keep track of time during labs.
