Our Art Program Needs Supply Basics! Please Support Art!
My students need sharpies in black & silver, watercolor paper, Thin markers, tag board, aluminum foil, crafting supplies, watercolor refills and storage trays for art.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am an art teacher at a public school that serves students from kindergarten to eighth grade. I teach about 500 students of various grade levels each week.
My students are from low income families who often cannot send art supplies for their children.
We are facing large scale budget deficits.
My students are bright, enthusiastic, creative individuals. They deserve the basic tools to create wonderful, bright and colorful artwork.
My Project
As an art teacher I know how important and necessary basic supplies are each year. Your donation will give my art students motivation to produce artwork that they can take pride in. They need thin Crayola markers and refills of black markers, black sharpies and metallic silver sharpies for outlining and detailing their artwork. Crafting supplies like wiggle eyes, paper bags, and tinfoil will get their imaginations going. Watercolor paper and refills would really benefit my artists as well.
Students will be using their imaginations to participate in creative problem-solving.
They will gain a sense of art appreciation through art-making.
My students need these basic supplies to create extraordinary artworks that will provide enrichment in other subject areas and teach them creative problem solving skills.
Art is a great way to reinforce learning in all subject areas and I appreciate the opportunity to do so with your help.
