My Students
I work at a low-income school where many parents struggle to provide for their families. Despite the hardships, my students and their families are very generous with their time and effort towards their education. My little ones want to learn. They crave new experiences and welcome new ideas with open arms.
My students are active, creative thinkers who love to move around to enhance their learning experience.
They work best when their environment is fresh and new. Rearranging the classroom every week makes learning fun and exciting for them.
My Project
My first graders become more and more independent every day. They are learning to read on their own, solve their day to day problems, and rely on themselves for their basic classroom needs.
Hot Dots learning resources will help continue to foster my students' independence in the classroom.
Hot Dots pens and learning kits are the perfect tools for students to self check when they are working in daily reading and math centers. All students have to do is press the special pen to the special card and, voila, the pen lets them know whether or not their answer is correct. These simple, yet magnificent, tools will give my students the ability to work independently.
