This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our second graders are looking forward to a fun and engaging experience! As we approach spring, we are preparing for our planting science units. Our students will be learning about the plant cycle, how plants use photosynthesis, and all of the benefits of growing plants using food and plant seeds. Our tiny scientists will be excited to plant their own flowers, herbs, and vegetables!

There are so many benefits of growing plants in the classroom.

In addition to aligning with our Science and Literacy curriculums, did you know that studies have shown that classrooms that contain plants can contribute to children's psychological well-being and development. Plants in the school have been proven to reduce student anxiety, sickness, and even absenteeism. There are so many great benefits to donating to this project. We are grateful for anything you can donate.
