Many of our students have difficulty staying seated in the classroom. We often use theraband to tie in front of the desk so the student can move their feet while seated and learn. We also use velcro under the desks so they can touch them, so they keep their hands to themselves instead of touching things they shouldn't in class.
As occupational therapists, we work on fine motor skills to help students to write better.
We use games to help fine motor skills and have some fun! Kids learn best when they are having fun.
