I have the pleasure of working with an engaged and excited group of students! My students love to work together, collaborate, write, and create. They especially love working with technology.
My students are sweet, caring, hardworking, and creative.
They are an excitable group of 25 third grade students in sunny Los Angeles. Over 32% of the students at our school qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, and everyone receives free breakfast daily.
My students speak English at school, and many speak Spanish, Tagalog, or another language at home. We are a wonderful mix of cultures, and we support each other as we grow and learn.
My Project
When we have Fun Friday, my students love to use the OSMO kits I currently have in our classroom. Unfortunately, we currently do not have enough kits for all teams of students to use. OSMO is a great interactive technology that works with the iPads we currently have in our classroom.
I have requested some new OSMO coding kits we currently do not have in our classroom plus extra OSMO spelling tiles so my students can practice their spelling in a fun and friendly competition with another student.
I have also requested stopwatches so my students can practice their timed fluency, multiplication tables, and, best of all, their marble runs to see which team can design the slowest marble run!
Your help donating to this project means that more of my students can be engaged as they learn how to code. My students will love the new coding kits I have requested! Thank you for your help in getting these great resources for our classroom!
