My students need Osmo kits, and games in order to learn a variety of skills in different subject areas. We also need 4 tables now that we are moving into our home school.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The best and easiest way to describe my students is that they are survivors. My class is a dual language kindergarten classroom, and I am charged with teaching them Spanish, language arts, and math. I will have two classes, each consisting of 21 highly motivated and fully charged five-year-olds. My children and their families have been hit hard by Hurricane Harvey. Many of my families had to be evacuated, and our school sustained a lot of damage. We are teaching at a relocation site with the basics. We couldn't ask our parents for any type of supply after what they went through. My kids are ready to be back at their school, but we need some materials to replace what we lost during the hurricane. We hope to be back at our school soon, and these items would help my students adjust to yet another move.
My Project
My students need four tables to accommodate them now that we are moving into our home school. The tables will allow my students to work in groups and allow enough space for the storage caddies.
We also need Osmo kits in order to learn a variety of different skills like numbers, coding, counting, reading, and so many other things with these kits.
By asking for two Osmo kits more students would be able to learn and participate on a daily basis. The variety of games will allow the students to learn more skills. My kids will learn in a fun and interactive way.
