My Project
My students come from a neighborhood with not a lot. There is not a lot of color, or brightness, not a lot of stores, or buildings. We are right on the river, which is a greenish brown, and the gray concrete which reinforces the walls and structures never changes...
My students have so much beauty and brightness to offer through their art and imagery.
They have created original artwork that will be transformed into a large-scale mural on school grounds to engage community and like-minded optimism!
The amount of teamwork and dedication utilized in painting this permanent fixture on the school's walls is a learning experience and confidence builder. These are the traits we are looking to spread in our school. Support is the theme, and belonging will be the takeaway. Thank you for your consideration!
