Organizing the 'Write' Way

My Project

At our campus, we take immense pride in being a certified AVID campus, dedicated to enhancing our scholars' writing skills. We believe that articulating our goals and visions for life through writing helps maintain focus and motivation on the path to achieving them.

By providing essential writing tools, I can empower my scholars to express their dreams and transform them into reality.

Writing transcends academic skill; it is a means of taking control of one’s own narrative. Our lives are stories that we create, and with intention, we can write, revise, organize, and structure each chapter toward success. To support this journey, I provide binders but I need dividers, and pencil pouches to help my scholars keep their schoolwork organized and manage their supplies effectively. The pencils and erasers will facilitate the jotting down of important information, ensuring that notes are kept in the appropriate sections of their binders. Additionally, post-it tabs allow scholars to tag "IMPORTANT" or "NEED TO KNOW" information, making it easier to highlight key points in their notes. This comprehensive approach not only fosters academic growth but also encourages personal development, inspiring our scholars to reach for their dreams.

My mission is to help scholars understand that setting goals, writing them down, and staying organized are not just good practices—they are essential habits for long-term success, whether in higher education, a chosen career path, or everyday life.

Many of my scholars come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and may experience instability or disorganization at home. By instilling the value of organization and the belief that “everything has its place,” we are providing a critical life skill. This approach helps break cycles of chaos and builds a foundation for personal growth, stability, and lasting achievement.
