Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is full of eager-to-learn students who love to read!
Meeting with each small guided reading group is one of the highlights of our day.
This is when a group of four to six students receive differentiated literacy instruction with a book that is on their instructional level. One of the challenges that both the students and I face with this differentiated instructional model is the organization and accessibility of our materials. There are constantly multiple titles of books in our room that are all being used for guided reading instruction. Knowing where to access books on the right instructional level is essential for my students to engage in meaningful reading tasks.
My Project
The multi-colored book bins would be such a life-saver! They would be used to organize the many guided reading books that we have in our classroom. Students would know exactly where to go to find a book that's perfect for them. They would be able to spend more time actually reading the great books instead of finding one that's right for them.
Donations to this project will help every student in my class have access to the right learning materials!
Every student will be able to locate, return, and store books that are on the appropriate instructional level for them.
