This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a teacher diagnosed with ADHD in high school, I have always tried my best to support and anticipate those challenges that some of my students might face when entering the classroom with a special need or learning difference.

Not all students need the same classroom, but all students deserve a classroom set up for their success!

Some of my students have a hard time focusing in the classroom due to distractions or lack of self control. I have found that dimming the lights makes a huge difference for these students and I have heard great things about the fluorescent light filters. I would also like to provide privacy boards for all the students to help lessen distractions and help provide them with their own work spaces.
