This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are 9th graders in a urban setting studying Modern World History. My students are lively and eager to learn about the world and explore common themes that occurred in many areas over the last 250 years . My students are facing new challenges that are beyond the pandemic. They are lacking many resources and supplies necessary in a variety of academic areas to further their success and personal development.

My students are looking forward to starting high school and having the tools for success.

My Project

As a ninth grade teacher in an Urban high school, I will be working with students who last attended school in person in 7th grade. They will be arriving to a school and grade very different from the one they left. Our students will be entering with a block schedule/semester which they have no experience and need to be as organized as possible. By giving the basics they can start off well.

We want to give them all the tools for success, Binders and divider tabs are the beginning.
