Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our busy first grade classroom, every moment is filled with learning, discovery, and joy—and having an organized space makes a huge difference. Right now, we’re using three old bookcases that have seen better days. They’ve served us well, but it’s time to upgrade to something more functional and student-friendly.
With your support, we’re hoping to replace them with three sturdy storage units from Lakeshore that will help keep our learning tools neat, accessible, and ready to use.
One shelf will be dedicated to literacy games and phonics activities that strengthen early reading skills. Another will house our math games, hands-on manipulatives, and centers that support problem-solving and number sense. The third will store supplies for small group instruction and interactive lessons that keep our Fabulous Firsties engaged and motivated.
An organized classroom means students can take ownership of their materials, make smoother transitions, and focus more on learning. These new shelves will help us create a space that’s not only tidy but also full of opportunities to grow, play, and explore through meaningful academic activities.
