Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Your donation will help promote an organized learning environment for my special education students. The students in my classroom struggle with reading as well as planning and organization. Having an organized bookshelf and book reading area will greatly help them!
These resources will motivate my students to want to read books!
A reading nook bookshelf will allow my students to have an individual book shelf section to store books at their independent reading level and provides a comfy bench to read on. Students will each have an organized basket of books just for them! They curl up on the bench and feel how fun it is to get lost in a story during an independent literacy station.
When a book is not in use, we can store it on the regular book shelf so students can see what is available and get excited about which book they can pick next. Unfortunately, we do not have a space to display classroom books for students to browse right now. These book shelves will change that!
