This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

How lucky am I to teach the most amazing group of children? My students are kind, welcoming, loving, and excited to come to school each day. I teach in a Title I elementary school where the majority of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunches. My students come from many different backgrounds and many of them speak more than one language.

I want to be able to provide the best learning experience for my students because they deserve nothing but the best!

My Project

Throughout the day, I meet with students in small groups. During small group time I am able to differentiate my instruction in reading and math by helping students work on specific skills they need help in. The white boards, dry erase markers and erasers will be used during this time to work on phonics, handwriting, and math. The baskets will be used to make individual groups bins with the small group materials. Having organization will allow for easy transitions when rotating groups.

Due to the uprising of covid-19 numbers, it is extremely important to me that I am able to provide my students with individual materials so they don't need to share.

I hope to be able to provide a safe and engaging small group environment for my students that will help them grow in all areas of development!
