Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are well mannered and kind children. They are reading below grade level and lack motivation. They need a system of organization for their work in progress and completed work. My students are hard workers but tend to lose their work in their back packs. All students at my school qualify for free lunch. Many of my students are English Language learners and/or have a learning disability.

My students are English language learners.

They need to have sharpened pencils ready to write. They will learn to file and keep their work organized and filed in quickly and efficient manner in order to locate when needed.

My Project

My little scholars will have a section in the classroom where they store their work in progress and or completed work. Parents appreciate the presentation of the child's work during the student-led conferences.The file folders will keep the work in great condition (unlike their back packs) in order to preserve and observe the progress throughout the year. Students learn how to file in alphabetically order, which is an essential skill in real world jobs. Students continue to check their folders for writing assignments they want to continue to develop or assignments that are ready to publish by typing and printing. The post-its are used for communication between the student and teacher. I will randomly select 5 folders per class to leave some positive feedback.
