Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The materials requested will support organization, student independence, and effective literacy and writing instruction in my classroom. These resources will help students manage their materials, engage more fully in lessons, and develop responsibility for their learning.

The HOOBRO literature organizer will function as a student mailbox and literacy center organizer.

Students will use it to store reading group materials, writing drafts, and feedback, allowing them to independently access and return work during reading and writing blocks.

The yellow, purple, and green plastic folders with prongs will help students organize their work by subject or purpose, such as reading responses, writing drafts, or intervention materials. The prongs securely hold graphic organizers and drafts, while the pockets store reference sheets, supporting organization and reflection.

The 3-tier rolling cart will serve as a mobile supply station during small-group instruction and writing workshops. It will hold folders, pens, markers, and erasers so materials are easily accessible wherever instruction takes place.

The EXPO dry-erase markers will be used daily for modeling, collaborative practice, and student responses on whiteboards, allowing students to practice and revise ideas in an engaging, low-risk way.

The stackable letter tray will organize student work, assessments, and differentiated materials, ensuring lessons run smoothly and efficiently.

The red gel pens will be used for editing, peer review, and feedback so students can clearly see revisions and growth in their writing.

The erasers and over-the-door hanging file organizer will ensure students have consistent access to supplies and materials, promoting independence and minimizing disruptions.

Together, these resources create an organized, student-centered learning environment that supports engagement, responsibility, and academic growth.
