Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are bilingual and are learning to be independent readers and writers in Spanish and English. They enjoy reading books, working with robotics, and coding. They like helping each other when they work in groups.
In our class, we are building a classroom family, where everyone matters.
We have school guiding principles we are learning in order to become responsible and respectful citizens. For example, having integrity, everyone matters, and not everyone learns the same way because we are all different.
My Project
A binding machine will improve the booklets I make for my students for math with their daily calendar where they learn how to tell time, how to spell the days of the week and months correctly, and place value. They will also make it easier to have a language arts booklet where they will learn how to proofread and write a complete sentence. They will also help them review because they can refer back to what they have learned already. Furthermore, it will make those loose sheets organized so that at the end of the year they can be proud to take a finished work home.
