Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In an autism classroom, organization, structure, and sensory engagement are not just helpful—they are essential. The materials requested in this project will support both the learning needs and emotional regulation of my students in meaningful ways.

The Crayola scented dough, Play-Doh, and polymer clay sets will serve as valuable sensory tools that help students with self-regulation, fine motor development, and creative expression.

Many of my students thrive on tactile input, and using doughs with different textures and scents can provide calming sensory experiences while also building hand strength and coordination.

The variety of storage bins, drawers, and containers will allow me to create a clear, predictable classroom setup. Children with autism often benefit from highly structured environments, where materials are consistently placed, labeled, and easy to access. These storage solutions will help reduce visual clutter and create a calm, organized space where students can focus better and feel more at ease.

Tools like label pockets and multipurpose labels will help me make every space in the classroom student-friendly and easy to navigate, encouraging independence. The Clorox wipes are essential for maintaining a clean and safe classroom, especially since many of my students have sensitivities or medical needs that require extra care.

Overall, this project will help me meet the unique needs of my students with autism by supporting sensory integration, promoting independence, and maintaining an organized and responsive learning environment. Your support brings us one step closer to creating a classroom that works for every child.
