My Project
Our middle school math classroom is in need of a few key items that will make a big difference in how my students learn and stay organized every day. I am seeking donations to help purchase a small group table, a standing podium for students to use for their presentations, and storage bins/containers to support both students and the learning environment.
These resources will provide a more functional, collaborative, organized, and engaging math classroom.
A small group table will allow for targeted instruction, peer collaboration, and one-on-one support. A standing podium will help students learn how to do presentations and also help me to deliver lessons more effectively and interact with students while moving around the room. This podium will allow students to present their ideas and engage in the classroom in new ways. The new boards require a laptop to be plugged in while it is in use with the board being across the room. This can make things difficult. The standing podium will allow the functionality and efficiency that is needed for both the teacher and students to present these materials and ideas.
Storage bins will help keep math materials, manipulatives, and student supplies sorted and easily accessible in turn creating a cleaner, more focused learning space. The five black bins will be used for each of my five class periods.
