Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are enthusiastic, eager, and ready-to-learn first graders! They love learning from books and enjoy independent reading time. I would love to set up a classroom library that fosters their love for reading.
Please help me create a library space that is organized and easily accessible for all my students!
First, we need a shelf that is sturdy and at an appropriate height for students to shop for library books in the classroom. The bins will help me organize the books based on genre, author, or topic to make it easier for them to find books they enjoy. The book display and floating shelves will be great to showcase themed books for each month, holiday or theme.
I look forward to sharing how my students will utilize the classroom library during the independent reading!
