My students need an electric pencil sharpener, a timer, 4 classroom bins, a set of magnetic folder bins, and 8 storage boxes so they will be well organized and have easy access to their materials.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Organization is huge in a classroom. Having things labeled and set out for the kids is crucial for them to ease through the day. With a few basic items, students will be organized and can make quick and easy transitions.
My school is 100% free lunch.
It is a bilingual school. Many of my students families only speak Spanish at home. My students live in a high poverty area in Milwaukee. They don't have many opportunities to branch out beyond their neighborhood. So many of them do not have experiences beyond their neighborhood and school environments.
My Project
My students need a sharpener, a timer, four classroom bins, a set of magnetic folder bins, and eight storage boxes so they can become organized and not lose precious classroom time searching for supplies and projects. With these resources, I will organize supplies and activities that my students will be using almost on a daily basis. With a pencil sharpener in the classroom, my students will always have a pencil ready for class assignments.
We recently got magnetic white boards and magnetic storage boxes will take up less space on shelves and flooring. The magnetic files will be used to sort handouts and homework.
Time is crucial in the classroom. We are always on a strict schedule. I love this timer because it's big and the "red" part is the countdown. The timer will be a great asset to use during all station rotations to keep us on our schedule.
The storage bins will be used either to collect daily assignments or even to sort weekly station recording sheets. They will be labeled so students know exactly which bin is for what.
The items I am requesting will help keep our classroom neat and organized.
This is critical because having 35+ students in a very small room can get very tight and very messy quickly. Keeping an organized space helps students to make transitions with ease.
