it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The materials that I am requesting for our classroom will help us keep our classroom library organized and accessible. Our current classroom library furniture in our library was well loved but very outdated and has seen better days.
I believe an organized classroom library and a system for books to be readily available for them to use will help foster and encourage a love for independent reading!
A new shelf to organize the library books in will not only be more pleasantly appealing but also make it easier for students to sit and reach for books at their eye level. The book bins allow for me to organize their books by reading level, genre, and favorite authors. This organized system makes it so that all students, no matter their reading level, have easy access to books that they love. Along with organizing the library, I am requesting book bags so that each of my students have a place to keep a couple books together that they are currently reading for the week. This not only helps take care of our books but also makes it easier for them to pull out a book and read anytime at their desk.
