Organized and Inspired: Storage Solutions for Our Dance Costumes

Help me give my students the storage solutions they need to keep their costumes organized, protected, and performance-ready.

My Project

I teach in a dynamic, creative high school where students from diverse backgrounds come together to express themselves through dance. Our dancers work hard year-round, developing technique, exploring choreography, and performing with passion. Many of them face challenges, yet they show up every day ready to learn, create, and grow as artists.

As our dance program grows, so does our costume collection—and unfortunately, so does the clutter.

We currently store costumes in makeshift bins and boxes that don’t protect the garments or allow us to access them easily. This leads to disorganization, wear and tear, and stress during show prep.

With this project, we are requesting heavy-duty storage bins and organizers to keep costumes neat, accessible, and protected. Proper storage will help us maintain the longevity of our costumes, save time during tech weeks, and help students take greater ownership of their work and materials. It also reinforces a sense of professionalism and pride in the program.

The Impact:

Your support will help us build an organized costume inventory that matches the quality and creativity of our performances. This simple but essential infrastructure will serve hundreds of students across school years and seasons, supporting our concerts, adjudications, and community performances.
