This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students come from high poverty, but it does not stop them from being eager to learn. We are a Title I school, and we are a free lunch campus. They are an exceptional group of students.
My students are a great group of kids.
They work really hard and have such amazing personalities. They enjoy laughing and making learning fun, but they know when to take things seriously as well.
I am always impressed with their desire to help others. My homeroom class has won 2 food drive competitions this school year. They do not have much, but are willing to share what they do have. They brought in over 100 canned food items to help members of our community during the Thanksgiving holiday. Their thoughtfulness is inspiring.
We thank you for your support and we look forward to share with you updates on our progress.
My Project
It is the middle of the year and school supplies are starting to run low. We really need pencils in order to show what we know! All of the pencils that were purchased at the beginning of the year have disappeared or have been sharpened down and too little to use. We are also out of cardstock paper, which is used for creating projects and task cards. I purchase a lot of games and activities that need sturdy paper to last throughout the year, so cardstock paper is a must.
My students need flexible seating and the stools will provide students with more choices in the classroom.
Students really enjoy moving around the room and the stools will give them a different place to sit and learn.
I teach Math and Science, so I get to teach 44 different students during the day. This means that I have 2 classes that visit my classroom everyday. The Drawer Mobile Organizer will be extremely helpful for me to get things organized in the classroom. Currently I have papers stacked in different locations around the room and it can become overwhelming trying to remember where I put the papers that I need. This brightly colored cart will add a pop of color to the classroom but also help me to get work organized for my students for both Math and Science.
