My students need folders for their writing, interactive folders for math, and for their reading journals. My students also need plastic bins for their center work.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our classroom is an integrated classroom, and we have to maintain organization for my students to be productive. We strive to make sure the scholars can obtain their items in a timely manner.
My students are a variety of students.
Many of my students are classified with a disability, and have trouble staying organized. The main goal is to teach and help them organize their materials to be productive in school. Many of my students have a difficult time focusing and staying organized. They try very hard, and are eager to learn, but have many learning gaps.
My Project
In the effort to help them stay organized, we will use the folders to organize a few topics. The students need to maintain a reading log, in search of concurring their 25 book challenge. They need folders to maintain their writing projects, and key writing strategies throughout the writing process including drafting, editing, and final copy. We will also be making interactive math folders for students to use the module templates and dry erase markers.
This project will make a difference, because it will give the students needed materials to become responsible for their learning.
These types of materials are essential for their academic progress.
