My Project
Everybody loves a good snack as a pick me up during the day or even to help tide them over until they go somewhere they can eat. In our class, we like to have a full snack box for the kiddos to be able to request and take if they have the need. When you have an open policy, it allows everyone the opportunity to be the same. This also helps the kiddos know they can have a snack when they feel they need, and teaching them to respond to their emotional needs instead of suppressing it. It also gives them the opportunity, to request and use it a social tool. They can ask their friends if they want, share their bag, or know to eat it in a way that doesn't disturb the class.
"Where there is order, there is tranquility." The bins will help keep it organized and accessible in an orderly fashion to help promote independence and organization skills.
