My Students
My students are a mix of life skill students that will use my room for quiet space to learn in small groups with less distractions. My room will also be a kindergarten support room where I can work with both higher level kindergartens that are reading to take on books early. and lower level students that need to sit together to practice sounds and blends together.
My Project
These pieces of classroom furniture (carpet, stools, and soft seating) will make a difference in my students' learning because they provide multiple seating options to organize my classroom. Having many areas in my classroom to sit and learn with my students will help meet different learning styles all at once. Some of them may enjoy sitting quietly on a comfortable soft seat to read a story, while others will enjoy a colorful stool to sit on during small group learning. The carpet creates a community feel in my classroom, giving a space for all students to sit together and learn.
