Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I’m a speech teacher in Las Cruces, New Mexico and I work with 47 students with specific speech and language disorders and other learning disabilities. My wonderful school is located in a community where the majority of the students come from low-income families with limited resources.
I am always looking for new and exciting ways to motivate my students to work hard towards their speech and language goals.
Incorporating the STEM activities requested in my project will be great incentives for them.
My project consists of STEM activities, such as magnetic tiles, LEGOS, a rattlesnake game, and other activities that my students can learn to create and build with, along with large plastic storage bins and other supplies I can organize their activities in.
