Organize, Breathe, and Read!

Help me give my students some much needed extra space for all of my hands-on activities. My students could also really use the sensory toys to help them calm down in a loud environment at times.

My Students

I am a preschool teacher in a Title I school in Chesapeake, Virginia. I have 18 curious and excited students in my class. Our students are picked on a need basis and just flourish in our classroom that is rich in print, music, and hands-on activities.

My students love anything that is interactive and hands-on.

It is so important that at the beginning of the year the room looks warm and inviting. We work so hard to make our classroom comfortable and welcoming to each and every child.

I strive to find activities and experiences that hook each child and give them exposure to academics needed for kindergarten. My students love working in small groups and love when we have new materials in the classroom.

My Project

I am asking for a new shelf to help store all of the new materials I make and buy throughout the year. We want preschool to be fun and hands-on, but I am running out of storage to keep everything organized!

My students LOVE the Mo Williams Elephant and Piggie books.

Please help me add some new books to my library so that the students can continue creating a love of reading and learning.

Each year I have kiddos that have a difficult time transitioning to a preschool classroom. I have a calm down corner and lots of tried and true techniques to help those kids out. Some new sensory toys would be extremely helpful and beneficial to those students when the classroom seems a bit too much.
