My students need a whiteboard table, colored pencils, markers, and storage bins for Daily 5 reading.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Pitts's classroom raised $511

My Students
My students are a fun, energetic group of sixth graders, attending a Title I intermediate school in Connecticut. They come from all areas of town and are mostly from an urban setting. This year, our entire district receives free lunch. Unfortunately, funding is extremely limited and gaining access to resources can be challenging. I want my classroom to be a place where my students can comfortably learn, in a safe and exciting environment, but I also want to give them every opportunity possible to help them succeed.
My Project
It's such a great feeling when we start the school year off well-stocked and organized! To do this, we need class packs of colored pencils and markers so that we have them ready for projects.
With our new plastic books bins, we can replace the cardboard ones that are falling apart and store all of our independent reading, spelling, writing, and grammar materials in one place.
Traditional desks with the chair attached do not allow students to move and collaborate in group and partner work. This round, dry erase whiteboard table will add to flexible seating options for my students.
These items will help make our classroom bright and shiny for the fall! Thanks for considering our project!
