This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a Kindergarten/First grade combination class at a Title One school in Northern California. The majority of my students speak English as a second language and come from lower socio-economic backgrounds. Despite the challenges my students face on a day-to-day basis, my students come to school each day with positive attitudes and are ready to learn! This is a truly unique group of kiddos who are eager to grow as learners and do their best each day!

My Project

I am hoping that these materials will help with general classroom organization so that our classroom is a place that reflects student progress as well as the many activities and projects that they have successfully completed. I would like for students to have specific areas and organizational cubbies within the classroom that belong to them and that house all of their amazing work! I feel that our classroom environment should we one safe, comfortable, and representative of our progress and growth - and I truly feel that adopting fresh organizational strategies and approaches, with the help of some resources and materials provided, will aid in my students' overall success and growth as individual learners.
