This project will benefit 5th graders in their last year in Elementary school. The students that will benefit from this project are determined, thoughtful, exciting, and loving students. They are curious and observant learners, who value community. We focus on leadership and accountability this year, so students are ready to be more independent in middle school.
Some hopes and dreams of my students are to be ready for middle school, to make new friends, and get better at math and reading.
My Project
Seat sacks will be an essential organizational tool for my students. With seat sacks, they will have their materials ready at their fingertips meaning there is less time being wasted transitioning and being ready for the lesson. Our school is an AVID school, meaning students are learning skills to be prepared for college and career readiness.
Being organized is an essential skill to learn in order to be college and career ready.
Due to the pandemic, the seat sacks are also keeping students safe from sharing materials. My students sit at small desks which allows for no storage options for each child. It is the least disruptive way to store, keep and use learning materials.
