Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from many different countries. They come from Mexico, Romania, Africa, India, Ethiopia and Asia. But each student comes with one common theme the eagerness to learn. The students in my classroom are English language learners. The parents have come from from many countries in hopes to provided there children with better opportunities and great education.

The students love to share stories about their home country and have truly taught me so much.

Everyday, they love to teach me a word in their home language. They have shared their traditions and customs. Not only am I teaching them they are teaching me. My classroom is great representation of our world today and I would not it change it for the world.

My Project

My classroom is an open space classroom. I share 1 room with 6 other classrooms. It is limited space for storage in the classroom. I love to maximize the space for students. With the use of the at your seat storage pocket it eliminates the need for storage of student supplies. Students would have easy access to their supplies without hindering their work space. Plus it helps students become organized and learn to care for their materials. Along with the teaching the regular subject, one key lesson is learning to be organized and to care for materials in the classroom. These chair pockets will give students a foundation in learning to be organized.
