This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Organization is key to maximizing our class time. My teaching partner and I have developed many classroom management tools to keep students organized, but need group supply baskets to help with our plan.
My students attend a 2,000 student inner-city span school (7 to 12).
We are a Title One (high poverty) school and many students are the first in their family to enter high school. We are college prep, trying to bridge the gap between little college exposure and being college ready in four years.
My Project
These supply caddies will be placed at each table and be stocked with the materials students need for the day's activities: colored pencils, markers, glue sticks, and scissors. Supplies will vary depending on the activity and this caddy will allow all students in the group easy access to the tools they need to succeed.
I need every precious moment of our 54 minute period for instruction.
Currently, a few minutes is wasted as students open a plastic shoe box and the materials monitor is frequently interrupted as group members need additional supplies.
