Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Organization is a skill that is needed by people of all ages. Teaching students how to be organized is best done by example. By providing students with a learning environment that is organized, students are practicing the skill while learning is taking place. The classroom has limited storage and it is utilized by five different groups of students. The filing cabinet will help house worksheets and supplies that students need. Absences are common among the group of students that I am working with. Within the filing cabinet, there will be folders for students to check if there are assignments from when they were absent. By providing a common space and a routine for students, I am hopeful that these organizational skills will help students stay caught up on missing assignments.
