This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"You can get help from teachers, but you are going to have to learn a lot by yourself, sitting alone in a room." ~ Dr. Seuss My students need help with being and staying organized. In addition, we need three earphones because many of our old ones are not working properly.

My students are hardworking, energetic, creative, and caring.

They are curious, creative, and unique in their interests and talents. From gifted learners to students with special needs, our class is filled with awesome individuals! I would like to be able to help the students reach their full potential by teaching them to be organized and read fluently.

My Project

I am asking for these supplies because I feel it will help my first graders learn to be and stay organized for their classes and their everyday lives. The tabletop communication center will allow us to stay organized when we do group work that involves us moving around the room and need to place work in a designated area. In addition, we were lucky enough to have a listening center this year but three of our earphones are malfunctioning. My students love listening to books and the earphones will put a smile on their faces. An organized place is a happy place!

Organization will not only help students in my class, but throughout their education and eventually their lives.

This is a skill that is often overlooked. I would like to help these students become responsible members of our society through organizational strategies. The earphones will help them listen to fluent readers as they are having fun learning to read.
