This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Most of my students come to school facing a reality that many don't have the necessary supplies to function in class. They attend class with sheets of paper crumbled up in their backpacks, with pens that do not work, and pencils that break easily or don't sharpen well, but they're eager to learn.
My students attend a 100% free and reduced lunch public school with a student population of 2700+, predominately Hispanic.
They are individuals who have a strong desire to succeed in life, but face many obstacles. They are smart, patient, and respectful students willing to learn math, but they lack organization skills.
