My Project
I am trying to get a head start for next year. These materials will help me create a welcoming classroom for next year. As years pass materials and classroom furniture break. I am in desperate need to organize my classroom library and classroom manipulative section within my room. First graders love reading a good book in my classroom library section, but my library books are currently sorted by bins. My goal is to display books monthly that match our curriculum and seasons/holidays. Providing my students with a new bookshelf for my class library allows me to do so.
A clean and organized classroom offers numerous benefits for students, including improved focus, reduced distractions, a more positive learning environment, and enhanced overall well-being.
First graders are always using classroom manipulatives (number lines, cubes, counters etc) during their academic day. Sorting these manipulatives into organized bins allows easier access for students to use throughout the day. When the classroom is organized I notice first graders are more capable of being independent during their academic blocks because they can clearly see where everything is.
