This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A classroom is not only an important space for students to learn, but a space they feel at home and comfortable in! It's crucial for students to feel like they have their own space and that they are welcome in their own classrooms. Organization is key for students during a school day, so they have a place to put their things, a place to find the things they need, and a space to learn without clutter!

My project is seeking support for organizational totes, tote storage, and laminating sheets to keep resources over long periods of time!

The first items on my project list are storage spaces that are large enough for students to fit their supplies inside of. They will be used for students to have a place to put their tote cubes during the school day. Speaking of tote cubes, those are listed as the second item on this project list! Students' totes are beginning to fall apart at this point in the school year. The totes have held up through a lot of wear and tear overtime this school year, and have provided students with a place to keep their school resources throughout each and every school day! The last item on this list is for laminating pouches. We refer back to a lot of tools to build students vocabulary, background knowledge, and comprehension prior to reading passages and making connections. Having the ability to laminate these resources and activities to be used years down the line will make it a lot easier for me to create tools that I know will be used time and time again! I believe in these amazing resources and what they will do for my students in the classroom! I hope you are able to support us, thank you!
