Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have had a lot of learning loss over the last two years. I feel that I have had to go back to square one and teach them how to be organized and mindful of their materials and work. Each student had a data folder so they can track their successes and reflect on their learning. They also have a stay in school folder and take home folder. The take home folder is the "Math Tools" Folder that the kids call their "cheat codes" for their nightly homework. The students and parents can refer to this to help them understand what they need to do at night.

I also feel that the kids need to connect to others in the world.

The "Who Is.." book series, allows for the kids to read about role models in society and how they each have overcome difficult situations in their life.

Other items that I a requesting are common items needed for a classroom to survive, but normally come from the teachers' pocket.
