This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My first grade ENL (English as New Language) classroom is a place where students are allowed to take chances and explore who they are while learning the English language. They get excited to learn English and take pride in their efforts to challenge their minds for the sake of learning.

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.

Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

My Project

The materials I am requesting will assist me in keeping materials organized within the classroom, as well as, teaching from home. My English Language Learners will learn that the organization of materials is just as important as learning.

The folding table will be utilized in various ways depending on the projects we will be working on.

For example, the folding table can hold our iPads as a charging station or as a writing center. The iPad keyboard case will help students to practice their typing skills when responding to a text. The book bins can hold our iPads or leveled library books. I can also sit at the table with one or two children to administer individual exams. Thank you for helping me teach my students how to learn in an organized manner.
