This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have so many personalities and needs, and as their teacher I really try my best to service them all. One thing that I have realized though is that my students are advocates for their education. Many of them are invested in coming to school everyday to gain knowledge that will help them go a long way.

Many of my students are 1st generation college bound students, and they are only in middle school!

If I can get them knowing more about college and providing them with so many different resources, and if that means providing them will classroom supplies or even books, to help them and to relieve some stress from parents who may not be able to give that support then I am willing to help.

My students are so special because they care, they may not always show it but they care. I am so grateful to be working at a school who wants to build that classroom culture for students, so that it is a joyful place for them to learn and want to come to school.

My Project

One way that I help my students with professionalism at a young age is helping them with organization. When it comes to their classroom materials I explain to them what they need to make sure they have. If students can’t get the materials I do my best to provide for them. That is why I provided them with binders so that they can make sure that there Math work is orgizanized and near. However, one part that we as a class need to work on is turning in the homework in a neat, organized and professional way. That is why I was to be able to get these mailboxes so that at the end of the week students put all their work in their box, I can grade it and return it on a fast and efficient way.
