Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a third year 4th grade teacher in a low income neighborhood in the Bronx, NY. 99% of my school is eligible for and receives free lunch. Throughout my years of teaching, I have realized that the most successful students are the ones that are focused. An important part of that focus is being disciplined and organized. In my classroom, I teach my students basic organization systems so that they will be able to begin work and concentrate on the task at hand. Once students are able to implement being organized in the classroom, these routines carry over into their work ethics and homework. I would like to be able to set up formal stations that help collect, distribute and organize notes, assignments and parental communication. This would include a tabletop writing center, organization pocket charts and a literacy management center chart. Thank you for your time, consideration and support of our children.
