Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am eager to encourage my second graders to take ownership of their own learning. Due to this, I am in need of classroom mailboxes for students to organize their own materials and goal sheets. Additionally, I want students to have easy-to-follow systems in place to aid in communication with their families at home, which the take home folders will be used for!
My students are incredibly intelligent and eager to learn.
At times, it can be difficult to get families involved due to life circumstances, but that is a barrier that I am hoping to break down this school year. Many of the families in our school district are living under the poverty line. Having sturdy mailboxes and folders will also aid in getting resources to families!
