Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Every student learns in a different way and I am a firm believer in differentiating instruction in my classroom so that all of my Kindergarten students succeed.
I co-teach in a classroom with 36 kindergartners at an ALL Kindergarten school with 500 students!
All of the students at our school receive free breakfast and lunch. Our school is in a very low socioeconomic community. Most of our students have not had the opportunity to attend Pre-K or have significant learning experiences in their homes.
My Project
Teaching young children to read is my passion and small group guided reading is the heart of my instruction! Sitting my with my students in a small group setting each day teaching them to read is one of the most exciting times of my day. I use many different materials and tools during this small group time and this 27 slot storage system would help me to organize the materials needed each day as well as to help me to be more efficient while trying to get the most out of my small group teaching time with my kindergarten students!
