Organization for All

Help me give my students organization and storage for our headphones in our classroom as well as supplies to complete our work, mailboxes to send our papers home, and items to create an engaging ,relaxing environment.

My Project

Our school is located in a rural town in Oklahoma. Majority of my students come from a low socioeconomic background with 100% of students in our school receiving free lunch. They are great students and these items will help them come to class prepared and organized for class.

Our organizational habits now, will prepare us for the future.

We are asking for hole punches so that we can easily and quickly punch holes in our papers to store them in our binders. The highlighters and glue sticks are on the school supply list but run out quickly because we use them weekly in our interactive spelling, writing and grammar binders. The mailboxes will help us organize notes and work going home so each student has their own space. The headphones, plastics bags and bins will be used in our media center so that each student has a set of headphones assigned to them. I had a Donors Choose project for headphones 3 years ago and this year I am down to about 10 sets left. We use headphones during remediation everyday as well as science & social studies. The printer ink is used to make decorations for the classroom, notes home to catch parent's eyes and to allow students to print their creations. I use my Donors Choose funded printer daily. Finally, the decorations and lights will add to the homey, relaxing feel of my classroom. I bought LED lights 4 years ago and this year one strand has stopped working in places and the other strand has stopped working all together. By having these supplies it would make organizing and being prepared for class easier on my students and me. I so grateful for everything Donors like you have provided to my classroom.
