This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a Kindergarten Teacher, I always strive to teach my students how to be organized and responsible. I believe teaching them these valuable life skills at an early age will set them up for success. In addition, I have chosen a class set of matching school supply boxes and crayon organizers, because while some students may come to school with a pencil pouch or box, many often do not and this leaves those students feeling left out & often distracted with the materials that their classmates have.
Having a matching set of supplies and storage will ensure that no child is left out and will minimize distractions, while also teaching students how to keep their materials organized and additionally provides them with a sense of responsibility.
